Registration period:

    • Registration and payment will be unavailable from December 27 (Friday), 2024 to January 5 (Sunday), 2025, because of system maintenance. The system will reopen on January 6 (Monday), 2025.

  • Each paper (including SS, demo, and VBS) must have at least one regular registration.

    Please enter the Paper ID (from ConfTool) for the paper you are registering for. Papers not covered by a registration be removed from the program and will not be included in the proceedings.

  • Students registering as `Student' must present a valid student ID at the on-site registration desk. Please ensure you bring it with you

Registration Coverage: One regular registration can cover:

  1. One main conference paper (including Special Session papers).
  2. One demo or VBS paper.
  3. A combination of one main conference paper and one demo/VBS paper.
  4. Two demo or VBS papers.

Payment

  • Payment should be made in Japanese Yen (JPY) by credit card before the due date of the applicable fees.
  • Registrations will NOT be confirmed without completed payment.
  • Checks and cash are NOT accepted.

Credit Card Available: VISA, Master Card, JCB, American Express or Diners only credit-card

  • Please use a credit card which is valid at least until February 2025.
  • The drawer of this online payment transaction will be MMM2025, however, the name might vary slightly depending on the card company. (KNT MMM2025/KNT-CT etc.)
  • Credit card transactions may appear on your credit card statement about two to three months later depending on the card company.
Issuance of Receipt

You can download the invoice and receipt from the system. Please note that requests for sending receipts via email or postal mail will not be accomodated.


Change / Cancellation / Refund Policy

  • Before 15 November 2024: No charge
  • On or after 15 November 2024: 100% fee charged/ NO REFUNDS

Requests for changes or cancellations of registration must be submitted via email to the MMM2025 Registration Desk (ec-conv18@or.knt.co.jp). The date and time of the request will be based on working hours (Mon - Fri 10:00-17:00 [JST = UTC+9], excluding national holidays and the period from Dec. 28,, 2024 to Jan. 5, 2025). Requests made outside of working hours will be processed on the next working day, and this may result in additional charges.

Refund

Refunds will be made prior to the conference with a deduction for fees (if any). If payment was made by credit card, refund will be made to the same credit card.

Refund of your payment will not be conducted automatically. If refund occurs due to the change or cancellation of your registration, please contact MMM2025 Registration Desk (ec-conv18@or.knt.co.jp) with your name and Registration Number.


MMM2025 liability limitation

  • In the event of an industrial disruption or natural disaster, the 31st International Conference on Multimedia Modeling (MMM2025), the organizing committee, management and service providers, and supporting organizations do not accept responsibility for any financial or other losses incurred by exhibitor companies, personnel, and conference delegates (further indicated as participants), nor for injury or damage to persons or property occurring during or related to the MMM2025 Conference in Nara, Japan. All insurance, including medical cover, or expenses incurred in the event of the cancellation of MMM2025, is the responsibility of the participant.
  • Participants are encouraged to choose a travel insurance policy that includes loss of fees/deposits through cancellation of your participation in MMM2025, or through the MMM2025 itself; loss of airfares for any reason; medical expenses; loss or damage to personal property; additional expenses; and repatriation should travel arrangements have to be altered. MMM2025, the organizing committee, management and service providers, and supporting organizations will take no responsibility for any participant’s failure to insure.

Visa for entry to Japan

The Visa support service has been finished.

Please read the following information before applying for visa support. Japan implements visa exemption measures for some countries and regions for short-term stays. Please check the following website for visa exemption countries.

Please note that even exempt countries may require visa acquisition procedures depending on the type of passport, such as the Note on Exemption of Visa (Short-Term Stay) information page. For more information, please contact the nearest Japanese Embassy or Consulate-General.

Conditions

Applicants must meet all of the following conditions to request our visa documents support:

  • Your paper has been accepted
  • You have completed the online registration.
  • Your registration fee and visa document support fee have been paid.

Visa support fee: 15,000 JPY/per person/ non-refundable for any reason (Not including Visa Application Fee)

  • Letter of guarantee
  • Letter of reason for invitation
  • Schedule of stay

Visa guarantee period

The maximum guarantee period for MMM2025 is outlined below:
From January 6 (Mon), 2025 to January 12 (Sun), 2025.

  • Since obtaining a visa may take time, we recommend that you contact the Japanese Embassy/Consulate‐General with jurisdiction over your place of residence as soon as possible to inquire about the detailed procedure and required documents. (In addition to the documents prepared by the inviting person/guarantor in Japan, you may be required to present additional documents. However, as requirements may vary depending on local circumstances and the purpose of your visit, please consult the Embassy/Consulate – General directly.)
  • Please note that preparing the documents may take a week or more, and additional time may be required for delivery.
  • Please note that preparing visa documents does not guarantee entry into Japan. The visa application process at the Embassy or Consulate‐General of Japan in your country is your responsibility, and MMM2025 holds no liability for this or for any travel expenses, including flight tickets, hotel booking, etc., that may arise from an inability to obtain a visa.
  • Kindly confirm the details of your transit visa in advance if you transit through any countries en route to Japan, on your own responsibility. We are not liable for any issues related to transit visas.
