MMM 2025 Code of Ethics

MMM 2025 is committed to fostering an atmosphere that encourages the free expression and exchange of ideas. It is the policy of MMM 2025 that all participants in conference activities (regular sessions, poster sessions, demo sessions, etc.) will enjoy a welcoming environment free from unlawful discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. The open exchange of ideas, freedom of thought and expression, and respectful scientific debate are central to the aims and goals of MMM 2025. Achieving these goals requires a community and environment that recognizes the inherent worth of every individual and group, fosters dignity, understanding, and mutual respect, and embraces diversity. For these reasons, MMM 2025 is dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for all members and participants at our events and in our programs.

Harassment and hostile behavior are not tolerated at any MMM 2025 conference or associated event. This includes speech or behavior that intimidates, creates discomfort, or interferes with a person’s participation in a conference or event. MMM 2025 aims to ensure that its activities provide an environment free from harassment of any kind, including but not limited to harassment based on race, gender, religion, age, color, appearance, national origin, ancestry, disability, sexual orientation, or gender identity. Harassment includes, but is not limited to, degrading verbal comments, deliberate intimidation, stalking, harassing photography or recording, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention. This policy is not intended to inhibit challenging scientific debate but rather to promote it by ensuring that all are welcome to participate in the shared spirit of scientific inquiry. Vexatious complaints and the willful misuse of this procedure will subject the complainant to the same sanctions as a violation of the anti-harassment policy.

The responsibility to promote an inclusive and positive environment for our scholarly activities rests with the community as a whole. Any participant who experiences harassment or hostile behavior may contact any current member of the MMM 2025 Committee. Your concerns will be treated with strict confidentiality, and we will consult with you regarding any actions taken.
